
Catherine Darrow, Ph.D. is the Project Director for the TRI Kellogg Grant and an Institute of Education Sciences (IES) postdoctoral fellow at the FPG Child Development Institute at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. After amassing 10 years of classroom teaching experience in Massachusetts, Catherine earned her doctoral degree in Teaching and Learning from Vanderbilt University. Her dissertation was entitled "Making Sense of Preschool Research: A Multi-Paper on the Implementation and Effectiveness of Preschool Curriculum Interventions." Over the past 5 years, she has been involved in several research projects that assess the effectiveness of language- and literacy-based curriculum interventions for young children. Specifically, Catherine specializes in developing and employing measures of implementation fidelity in order to understand the degree to which teachers deliver instructional programs and to identify ways to better support teachers in adopting new curricular packages.
